Network

Network Infrastructure Overview

The network infrastructure tends to remain anonymous as long as it’s functioning as designed, providing fast, secure and reliable connectivity. An unsung hero if you will.

Lumenate takes a proactive approach to Network, we believe proper monitoring and capacity management will help keep things running smoothly.  Developing a road map to assist with planning to allow a more seemless integration into your existing infrastruture.

Keep your eye on these emerging technologies as well:

IPv6:  Version 6 will replace version 4 of the internet protocol, this should be firmly in your 2011 planning for execution throughout 2011 into 2012.  Offering a much larger address space, simpler client configuration and enhanced security.

Unified Computing: Bringing storage, network, compute and virtualization together to accelerate delivery of services

Continued Convergence: Just as we saw with voice over IP years ago, more and more services are coming onto the shared data center network.  Storage protocols such as ISCSI and FCoE need to be included in your planning.
